Earlier this week we launched an joint initiative with Microsoft and Avanade in the UK for helping Visual Basic 6.0 developers move their applications to .NET. The initiative consists of several parts:

• A web portal, hosted by Microsoft, to work as a hub for the campaign. It contains a large collection of useful links on migration and migration alternatives to aid you in your application modernization efforts. You can even participate in a prize draw for free licenses of the migration tool!

• A “hub” at our website for the two offerings we have for the initiative
• An offering for enterprise customers that consist of:
• 10% discount on the license for the Visual Basic Upgrade Companion
• A free workshop with Avanade’s consultants, to identify migration candidates and for guidance on how to proceed with your application renewal efforts. Avanade is one of ArtinSoft’s worldwide partners, and brings to the offer their depth of skill on the Microsoft enterprise platform
• The launch of the Visual Basic Upgrade Companion Developer Edition, a low cost (£399 £199 for a limited time) version of the VBUC with powerful features suited for individual developers and small business with applications under 50,000 lines of code.

The campaign has been well received so far. In the two days since launch, we already have several leads interested in both offerings!!
